Εξαιρετική αρχή πραγματοποίησε η εθνική μας ομάδα των ανδρών στο Βαλκανικό Πρωτάθλημα! Στο 3ο γκρουπ αντιμετώπισε την πρωτοπόρο Βουλγαρία και πέτυχε εμφατική νίκη με 3-0, εξασφαλίζοντας ουσιαστικά την πρόκριση στο ταμπλό ως πρώτη.
Οι αθλητές μας αγωνίστηκαν με απόλυτη συγκέντρωση και πάθος:
Ο Γιώργος Σταματούρος άνοιξε με δυναμικό ξεκίνημα.
Ο Κωνσταντίνος Κωνσταντινόπουλος συνέχισε με σταθερότητα και καθαρό μυαλό.
Ο Τάσος Ρηνιώτης «σφράγισε» την επιτυχία με ψυχραιμία και εμπειρία.
Η νίκη αυτή δείχνει τις υψηλές δυνατότητες της εθνικής μας ομάδας και δημιουργεί μεγάλες προσδοκίες για τη συνέχεια της διοργάνωσης.

Το Sports Hall Ata Sporlari Merkezi στην Κωνσταντινούπολη άνοιξε τις πύλες του και από την Τετάρτη 3 Σεπτεμβρίου έως και την Κυριακή θα φιλοξενήσει το Βαλκανικό Πρωτάθλημα Ανδρών-Γυναικών στην επιτραπέζια αντισφαίριση. Στόχος είναι το υψηλό επίπεδο θεάματος, ο έντονος συναγωνισμός και η άψογη διοργάνωση.
Η Ελλάδα, για άλλη μία χρονιά πρωταγωνίστρια, παρατάσσεται με 5 αθλητές και 4 αθλήτριες διεκδικώντας μεγάλες διακρίσεις. Η πρώτη ενότητα της διοργάνωσης αφορά πάντα τα ομαδικά αγωνίσματα, με τις κληρώσεις των γκρουπ να έχουν ήδη πραγματοποιηθεί.
Η πορεία των Εθνικών μας ομάδων
Άνδρες: Η Εθνική Ανδρών, νούμερο 4 στο seeding, αγωνίζεται στον 3ο όμιλο με Βουλγαρία (επικεφαλής) και Βοσνία/Ερζεγοβίνη. Στους άλλους ομίλους: Τουρκία, Σερβία, Αλβανία (1ος) και Ρουμανία, Ιταλία, Κόσοβο (2ος).
Γυναίκες: Στις γυναίκες συμμετέχουν 8 χώρες, χωρισμένες σε δύο ομίλους. Η Εθνική μας, νούμερο 3 στο seeding, τοποθετήθηκε στον 2ο όμιλο με Τουρκία (επικεφαλής), Βοσνία/Ερζεγοβίνη και Κόσοβο. Στον 1ο όμιλο βρίσκονται Ρουμανία, Σερβία, Βουλγαρία και Αλβανία.
Η ελληνική αποστολή έφτασε στην Κωνσταντινούπολη με επικεφαλής τους ομοσπονδιακούς προπονητές Κώστα Βατσακλή και Χρήστο Λάμη, πραγματοποιώντας μάλιστα και προπόνηση στην αίθουσα των αγώνων.
Το Balkan Senior Table Tennis Championships ξεκινά στις 09:00 με τα γκρουπ του ομαδικού γυναικών, ενώ στις 11:00 θα γίνει η τελετή έναρξης. Από τις 11:30 ακολουθούν οι αγώνες των ανδρών. Την ίδια μέρα ολοκληρώνονται τα γκρουπ, ενώ την Πέμπτη διεξάγονται οι νοκ άουτ αγώνες:
Προημιτελικοί: 09:00
Ημιτελικοί: 13:00 (παράλληλα με ματς κατάταξης)
Τελικοί: 17:00 (γυναικών) και 19:00 (ανδρών)
Κάθε ομαδικό ματς μπορεί να έχει έως πέντε επιμέρους ατομικούς αγώνες, με τελικό σκορ από 3-0 έως 3-2. Το δεύτερο μέρος της διοργάνωσης αφορά τα ατομικά αγωνίσματα.

Guatemala City has successfully hosted the final Continental Hopes programme of 2025, bringing together young talents from across the Americas for an intensive week of training and development. This event marks the conclusion of the global cycle of regional talent identification activities, setting the stage for the upcoming ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge in Sheffield this October.
Guatemala’s Warm Welcome 🇬🇹
The Central American nation embraced its role with enthusiasm, providing excellent conditions for athletes and coaches. Jorge Chacón, President of the Guatemalan Table Tennis Federation, expressed his pride: “It is a true honour for Guatemala to host the ITTF Americas Hopes Week & Challenge. In the Land of Eternal Spring, we welcome you with open arms.”
The organisation and preparation by the Guatemalan Federation received praise from both participants and international staff, highlighting the strong collaboration at federation and governmental levels.
A Week of Learning and Exchange ✨
The programme featured international coaches who worked alongside national mentors, ensuring players benefited from world-class expertise. Participants valued not only the technical training but also the cultural exchange.
ITTF Coach Carlos Esnard described it as one of the best camps ever, praising the quality of players and collaboration among coaches.
Ecuador’s Thayra Buitrón said: “I had so much fun at this Hopes. I really enjoyed being with my teammates, meeting new people, and learning a lot.”
Mexico’s Andrea Campos highlighted how much she had learned and gained from the experience.
Honduras’s Jesús Tejada reflected on the chance to experience international-level training for the first time.
Coaches’ Insights 👩🏫👨🏫
Coach Expert Mamata Prabhu called it “a dream come true,” emphasising the multicultural environment and diversity of playing styles. Paraguay’s Cielo Mutti praised the high standard of participants, noting how they fully embraced the opportunity to grow.

USA’s Jacob Kordus enjoyed the challenge of facing high-level opponents.
Colombia’s Jerónimo Jiménez found the camp “very rewarding,” crediting both teammates and coaches for his progress.
Looking Ahead 🌍
With Guatemala’s event concluded, the 2025 Continental Hopes cycle is complete. Talented youngsters from Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas will now gather in Sheffield for the World Hopes Week & Challenge, where the most promising global talents will meet on one stage.
This marks the perfect conclusion to a year of talent development—spanning continents, cultures, and united by a shared passion for nurturing the next generation of table tennis excellence.
