ITTF Americas Hopes Week Concludes in Guatemala as Continental Cycle Completes
Guatemala City has successfully hosted the final Continental Hopes programme of 2025, bringing together young talents from across the Americas for an intensive week of training and development. This event marks the conclusion of the global cycle of regional talent identification activities, setting the stage for the upcoming ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge in Sheffield this October.

The Central American nation embraced its role with enthusiasm, providing excellent conditions for athletes and coaches. Jorge Chacón, President of the Guatemalan Table Tennis Federation, expressed his pride:
“It is a true honour for Guatemala to host the ITTF Americas Hopes Week & Challenge. In the Land of Eternal Spring, we welcome you with open arms.”
The organisation and preparation by the Guatemalan Federation received praise from both participants and international staff, highlighting the strong collaboration at federation and governmental levels.
